DLOG explanation.
I served in the vertical line rescue team with AFRS Avon fire and rescue service and a member and now instructor team member with Longtown Mountain Rescue Team crag rescue.
Entries for the fire service over 30 years and 6 years as line rescue are too numerous to log individually as I hadn't started any logwork for that period 1988-2018. I have therefore logged a generic entry under trad. Training with the Line team was undertaken weekly at the station and many offsite locations. It involved equipment maintenance, site management, personnel and management of members of the public and other emergency services, top belay set ups, safety, personnel safety checks and casualty care.
All equipment used or opened was then logged and inspected on return to base.
Over the years, I took part in exercises and incidents as a team member, observer and supervisor.
With Mountain rescue, I have had to record events similarly as trad. I joined the team in 2018 and after training on crag rescue, have now joined the crag training team to deliver training to other members of the team.
