Description

Walk/scramble with Sarah, Reg and Nanw (1 person, 2 dogs), from Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, up Stickle Ghyll to the Tarn.
Jack`s Rake (G1 Scramble) up Pavey Ark, when the clouds descended further.
I found our way through thick cloud to Harrison Stickle, then descended the path to the northeast of the summit back to the Tarn - at this point, the cloud had dropped from halfway up Pavey Ark to below the lake level.
Protection of the dogs was more troublesome than protection of the person! But everyone managed safely.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
