Description

A week of reccy`ing walks for a future HF Munrobagging week as follows:
Sunday: From Glen Nevis - Binnein Beag from the North [way too steep for a group] then over to jusy below Sgurr Eilde Mor and back
Monday: From Glencoe Chairlift, across to Sron a Cruise. Interesting finding a route up between the Crags as it was very wet. Then over Creise and Meall a Bhuiridh returning on the chairlift.
Wednesday: Taxi from Tyndrum to Lochy Car Park on A85. Walked to footbridge which was closed, crossed by new dam. Very hard to get back to normal river crossing without trespassing on the railway. Bridge no longer there at 245274. Ascended to col and Beinn A Chleibh, then Ben Lui, descending down NE ridge to Cononish and back to Tyndrum.
Thursday: Drove to Fersit and went up Stob a Choire Mheadhoin and Stob Coire Easain then back the same way
Friday: More investigating of a better way up Beinn a Chleibh from Glen Lochy but no real success.

Area : Ben Nevis (Fort William To Loch Leven)

This area covers the mountains between Fort William, Loch Leven (to the south) and Loch Treig (to the east). The area includes Ben Nevis and Carn Mor Dearg, The Mamores, The Aonachs and The Grey Corries. An impressive 20 Munros are split equally by Glen Nevis and the waters of Abhainn Rath. Relatively accessible from the A82, these mountains hold some classic walking and climbing routes such as The Ring of Steall in the Mamores and Point Five Gully on Ben Nevis. Includes all major peaks above 600m.
