VS 4c-4c-4c. With Ian Darley. Conditions: light drizzle at the start, but mostly dry. Wind 20-30mph gusts. P1: my lead, pretty run out; P2: Ian led, spent a while finding the unreliable gear on the arete and traverse! P3: I started, made the traverse more difficult than it needed to be, then bottled the overhang, so lowered on two bomber nuts back down to the belay and Ian finished it. A long, adventurous day! To be clear: this was the direct finish :)

Llanberis Pass
The one-time crucible of Welsh climbing. The fine crags of the Pass are easily accessible from the road. On the north side, the principal crags are: Dinas y Gromlech (bearing the famous line of Cenotaph Corner), Carreg Wastad (flat rock) and Clogwyn y Grochan. Further down the valley is Craig Ddu (black rock). On the south side, the principal 'roadside' cliff is Dinas Mot.
