10.00 - 17.00, 14.4km, 830m. Clear sky in morning, broken cloud by afternoon, large path and ‘dry’ glacier. Nine adults, one teenager, K Anderson leading. Fiesh, Kühboden by Eggishorn cableway, traverse path north to Märjelensee, Aletsch glacier, followed to Konkordia Hut. Met an old friend, Graham McCulloch purely by chance at the Konkordia hut.
04.30 - 17.00, 10km, 1430m. Clear sky, light wind; good conditions. Nine adults, one teenager - two ropes of five, K Anderson and myself leading. Konkordia Hut, Gross Grünhorn (4043m) by traverse of Grünegghorn (3860m) - grade F+/PD-, reversed back to Konkordia Hut. Some glissading. Six of the party turned back at Grünegghomn led by I Blakey.
