Description

I was accessing a gold dofe group over the bank holiday weekend and took the opportunity to get a mountain day in! Camping at the campsite north of Beddgelert. We made our way up through the forest to the col in between y Gryn and Moel Lefn. Our intention was to follow the path on the OS maps that climbs up onto Moel lefn but it isn`t in the same place on the ground and ended up fighting our way to heather. The traverse across the ridge then was quite straight forward until we reached the summit of Moel Hegbog and we were hit by strong wind. we followed the path down to just outside Beddgelert and then through the forest back to the campsite.

Area : Nantlle & Hebog

The Nantlle Ridge is the name given to a small range of mountains in Snowdonia, north Wales which runs south-west from the village of Rhyd Ddu for a distance of about 9 km (6 mi), ending above Talysarn and Nebo in the Nantlle Valley.
