Description

Start at Ogwen Cottage and walk around Llyn Idwall. Original plan was to walk up Devils Kitchen to Y Garn but due to strong winds we decided to walk up Devils Kitchen and return back down and around Llyn Idwall. Two female teachers who had done very little of this kind of walking before. (as an interest, I took them to see the "Devils Appendix")

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
