Description

We started off with the plan to do the North Ridge of Tryfan but due to the age and inexperience of the young students I decided to do an easier route but with a few intro scrambles thrown in. So we walked up past little Tryfan and onto the Heather Terrace path before ascending up the south ridge. Return was the same way but descended into the valley for an easy walk back.

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
