Description

08.15 - 18.00, 22.2km, 1730m. Kintail, Scotland.
Clear sunny day with little wind. Morvich, Glenlicht Ho 09.30, Bealach an Làpain 11.25, Sgurr nan Spainteach 12.20, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe 13.05, Sgurr na Carnach 14.00, Sgurr Fhuaran 14.45, Sgurr nan Saighead 15.40, skirted round Beinn Bhuidhe and dropped down to Allt a` Chruinn, path down to village of same name. Not feeling great, full of snot and sweating like mad. Ran out of water at Sgurr nan Sighed but picked some up on way down to the stream. Sat and enjoyed the view across Loch Duich.

Area : Glen Affric and Kintail

South of Loch Mullardoch you will find the Glen Affric and Kintail area whose southern boundary is the A87 road to Inverness. The Five Sisters of Kintail, Beinn Fhada, Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan and Carn Eighe are just some of the impressive peaks in this area, and all have their own unique selling points such as remoteness, size, steepness or height. As a result, peaks in the list are all over 900m.
