An ascent of Y Garn from Ogwen cottage weather light snow moderate wind loose snow on the ascent towards Y Garn`s north east ridge on ascending the ridge snow became more firm and crampons were put on for the rest of the ascent visibility was poor but the snow underfoot mainly firm easy to walk on with crampons descended from the summit in cloud towards devils kitchen locating the descent route the slope down was steep but snow was firm good day out group really enjoyed it.
