I have worked with Neil on a number of occasions over the last 2 years on Bronze & Silver DofE Expeditions. He has proven himself to have excellent expedition, instructional and leadership skills, working with participants from a wide range of backgrounds and with different levels of prior experience. He has an excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is always popular with participants and school/youth leaders. I have also attended mountain skills/outdoor leadership courses with Neil, where he proved himself to be a knowledgeable and positive course member. Having done some winter walking with Neil I can safely say his personal skills, technical ability and confidence are far in excess of his current outdoor qualification level, and I fully expect him to successfully complete his ML(W) and IML in the very near future.
