Walk from Seathwaite to Great End, Ill Crag and Scafell Pike. Group walk, heavy snow and ice in Seathwaite.
Group: Al, Daz and Leigh, as well as Dogs Reg and Nanw.
Weather was glorious: blue skies, and bright sunshine on the summits (melting the snow).
Had to cut the walk short at Ill Crag, when Leigh realised he`d lost his phone. So we then spent 2 hours retracing our steps, looking for the phone in the snow. Have you ever tried to find a white object in snow? Not very easy!
Started 0900, returned to the car just after 1600.
