Description

Skater at Inverailort Castle and follow ENE leat past the row of cottages to the stream running at the southern foothills of Tom Odhar at 771 817. Followed wide valley eastward to 100m col and continued SW initially up broad rib. After crossing a shallow vegetated depression at 775 814, I headed towards Coire Beithe keeping below the crags on the rib and reached the top of the valley at 770 810. From here I aimed for the lochans immediately south and below Seann Church, not going above the 500m of the broad multi-level bealach between Seann Church and An Stac (814m).
I chose a route up due south from the summit of An Stac, an ever so slight longitudinal depression between ribs and steep drops. Terrain frozen from approx. 550m. Some simple scrambling with attention due to black ice. Awesome views towards Loch Ailort and the Rois-Bheinn horseshoe. Back down to the starting point exactly the same way due to time constraints,

Area : Moidart and Ardnamurchan (Rois-Bheinn)

This is the area to the west of Loch Shiel and south of the A830. Mountain peaks listed are in the Moidart area and are between 600m – 900m, including Beinn Odhar Bheag and Rois Bheinn, both standing at 882m. Peaks to the east are listed in the Sunart and Ardgour area.
