Description

Climbed during a 3 month expedition to Iceland
We were camped in Skaftafell National Park campsite. On a fine windy day I set out to climb Kristínartindar (1126m), a popular summit to do in the area as it is fairly easy to ascend with a very short Grade2 scramble at the top. A faint path leads on from the famous Skaftafell waterfalls, which leads to the final scree/scramble slope. The summit fine views over the giant ice cap Vatnajokull. Return to camp was via the same ascent route.
