Description

Walk up Ben Vorlich from Car park in Inveruglas following the Loch slow access road in heavy rain then following a path up on Ben Vorlich upper slopes snow patches became unavoidable and deep in places making going difficult in the strong wind snow falling as we made are way along the ridge very poor visibility as we neared the summit the ground became frozen with ice patches arrived at the trig point before summit and made the summit in very poor visibility returned the same way a cold windy but good day.

Area : Inveraray to Crianlarich (Ben Lui)

From the Arrochar Alps to Ben Lui, this area is home to nine Munros. Half of the peaks in the area are within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, while the others lie to the west. The three summits of The Cobbler (884m) contain some of the best climbing in the Southern Highlands while Ben Lui in winter looks positively Alpine. Access is relatively straightforward from the A83, A82 or A85.
