Description

Working on what was supposed to be a winter day, change of objective scrambled in via fiacaill ridge and then guided up. George`s first day climbing outside

Area : Loch A'an Basin (Summer)

The Loch A'an Basin is a wildly beautiful place to climb in summer, a complete contrast to the busy part of Cairngorm just to the north. The long, high quality routes of the Shelter Stone Crag take pride of place, but the slabs of Hell's Lum are also popular after a dry spell. There are several very worthwhile climbs on Stag Rocks and Stac an Fharaidh.
