Description

Cape Wrath Trail. Fort William to Cape Wrath keeping to the West were possible. 6 nights camping in a tent, 9 in bothies, rest in bunkhouses or hotels. Also ascended: Meall Buidhe (Knoydart), Beinn Liath Mhor (Torridon), Sgorr Ruadh, Beinn a` Chlaidheimh, Mullach Choire Mhic Fhearchair and Sgurr Ban (Letterewe).
Snowed on the first two days but then very little rain. Carrying 13 or 14 kg. Posted food on.
Absolutely fantastic. I don`t know how I would have coped if there had been a lot of rain and the rivers had been in spate but that`s not what happened. I had amazing weather, walked through beautiful landscape and met some really interesting people.

Area : Cuillin and Torridon (Liathach)

This area is on the west coast of Scotland and its most well-known mountains are probably Beinn Eighe (1010m) and Liathach (1055m). The area is bordered by Loch Maree and the A832 to the north and Glen Carron and the A890 to the south. It should not to be confused with The Cuillin which is on Skye and listed in the Western Isles region. The mountains list contains all peaks above 800m.
