Description

Wild camping trek fur large outdoors.
My group of four ladies walked in from gelli iago to llyn cerrig y myllt area to camp. We headed to the south west shoulder of Cnicht to watch the (slightly disappointing) solstice sunset at about 2130, then returned in darkness and fog to the campsite. Morning revealed more fog and rain, so a direct return saw us at the vehicles by 11am.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
