D of E Silver assessment. Routes started in Settle and went up Ribble Valley to Horton via various routes. Day 2 over Fountains fell to Malham. Problems with missing group leading to a 999 call from the students due to lost comms. Resolved - good review with Lancashire Outdoor service and review of ICE procedures (see blog post). Working with TD (as technical advisor/additonal ML) and trying LG and MW for ML/BEL.
Area :South Yorkshire Dales
Most of the larger southern dales (e.g. Ribblesdale, Malhamdale and Airedale, Wharfedale and Nidderdale) run roughly parallel from north to south. Includes the Three Peaks, Malham and Langstrothdale/Wharfdale.
