Day 1: Headed with Aidan over pass to North of Imlil and then traversed around to the West at just about the limit of the scrub line. Camped with an amazing view North out to the plains and the distant bright glow of Marrakesh.
Day 2: Continued West and into a remote valley - a cold and lonely spot - where we found one small closed up hut. Spent most of the day on a fine traversing or zig-zag trail above the snowline.
In the afternoon we back tracked and then climbed hard to reach a higher camp spot of a snowy flat topped spur where we enjoyed similar views but a much colder night. Melting snow the only water source.
Day 3: Climbed hard up a wide couloir, passed through a col and then made a delicate traverse above big snow slopes which brought us into the northern side of the Toubkal valley. After some tense moments on an exposed and snowy trail we made the final descent to the Toubkal hut where we stopped for the night.
Day 4: Rose early and made an excellent clockwise traverse of Toubkal, climbing a subsidiary peak en route, atop which was the engine of a wrecked plane. Epic views in all directions from the summit, esp to South where we looked into the sands of the Sahara.
Descended to the hut and then continued right back to Imlil down the main drag.
