I've known Mark since school and have had the good fortune to climb, run and work with him on a number of occasions. He's an excellent leader - very capable of making the right decisions on behalf of a group and with superb inter-personal skills which he uses to motivate and inspire. It's clear that he really cares about the experiences of the people he leads in the mountains. Mark has developed a high level of skill throughout his time in the military, his alpine climbing trips and the many UK trips - He is a trusted climbing partner of mine. His enthusiasm and experience covers a wide range of outdoor activities from multi-day treks in the jungle to ultra-distance running to Scottish winter climbing. He has the skill-set, experience and personal qualities to lead people very competently in all manner of outdoor activities.

Mark's services was required to assist Adventure Quest a Service Provider for Veterans suffering with PTSD, to which I am a sufferer. We all have various difficulties but the outdoors is something that gets us away from the stresses we face at home. I was fortunate enough to have one to one tuition with Mark in the Snowdonia National Park at Nantmoor. Mark was brilliant with me he took me through Micro Navigation, Judging Distances, Contours and confirming skills by practicing me without feeling pressured. We took full advantage of the opportunity and we experienced poor visibility and that led us into Night Navigation. We were out on a December day and night Navigation covering so much, I learnt an awful lot with the one to one and I hope I will get the opportunity to learn some more from Mark who understands veterans with PTSD and has the patience to meet my needs.
