Description

Lovely route. Agree with E2, the 5c part is short lived and very safe. There is also no need for any wild barndooring on the upper arete, and that too is well protected where you need it.

Area : Skye and Raasay – Sea Cliffs and Outcrops

Skye is perhaps more generally well known for the Cuillin mountains, but it also has a large amount of excellent sea cliff and outcrop climbing, mostly on columnar dolerite (such as at Kilt Rock, Staffin and Neist, and at the Trotternish crags in the north). In contrast, the cliffs of the Elgol region are composed of an unusually pocketed light coloured sandstone, and with stunning views over to the Cuillin, they will not disappoint. Also included here are the cliffs of Raasay, reached by ferry from Skye.
