Description

Good day out with AQ. Large group of very mixed ability. Slow going to deliver F & F and nav skills.
Also had to be mindful of our guest, Emily, whose first day out it was since her fall from Crib y Dysgyll. She was extreme sensitised to exposure of any kind. She did not want to go out the The Priest Hole, nor did some of the others. So George got these guys into shelters and the remainder of us went to the cave - a cool spot.
Simon C had re-aggravated an injury and needed to descend. The group split with some going down with Evo and others continuing with me across to Hartsop above How (there was no point going further into the teeth of the gale and cloud)
As it was we enjoyed a good descent, did some more nav work along the ridge and had a good descent through the woodland to Cow Bridge.

Area : Central Fells

The Vale of Keswick, provides separation from the Northern Fells whilst to the west runs the long valley of Borrowdale. The parallel eastern boundary is created by Thirlmere and the St Johns in the Vale. Grasmere to Windermere forms the remainder of the eastern boundary. In the west, Stake Pass descends into Great Langdale.
