Designed and led a walk for our scout group (13 young people). We parked in Dollar and then the groups were navigating to Castle Campbell then around Hillfoot Hill and back to the cars.
Planned the walk then briefed 3 other leaders. We then split into 2 groups. I gave our group simple instruction as to where there end point was. We then followed them, only dipping in with advice when they needed it. Really good fun day. They got lost a few times and this gave me the opportunity to help them understand why. Also on techniques to try and ensure they dont get lost again.
