Description

Everest Base Camp trek. 11 people including one American marine veteran with one leg, throwing up new challenges to overcome everyday. Age range of clients 27-68.
Starting in lukla after flying in.
Day 1, Lukla to Phakding. 6 hours.
2. Phakding to Namche Bazaar. 9 hours.
3. acclimatise day to everest view hotel.
4. Namche to Tengboche. 8 hours.
5.Tengboche to Dingboche. 8 hours.
6. acclimatise walk towards chukkung.
7. dingboche to lobuche. 7 hours. long day with monument hill giving everyone a hard time.
8. Lobuche to Gorak Shep. the group split in two with those feeling good going early, and those less good sleeping longer and we followed later in the day. 4 hours.
9. Gorak Shep to base camp, back to Lobuche.. an excited team all making base camp, very tired upon returning to Lobuche. 11 hours.
10.Lobuche to Pheriche. we get one guy checked out at the med centre who is told he is okay, mild ams but we are on the way down so not to worry. 5 hours.
11. Pheriche to tengboche. 6 hours.
12. Tengboche to Namche. tough day this one, with one of the group fainting too! He recovers, having just pushed himself a little bit too hard. 9 hours.
13. Namche to Lukla. Very long day with people suffering quite a lot with tiredness. 10 hours.
