Attempted Schoolhouse Ridge on Ballachulish Horseshoe with George Darrah (novice).
We went well and reached 800m.
At this point there was a technical step. I climbed it and looked ahead. There was another technical step and the wind gusted so that I had to stand my ground.
In spite of GD`s enthusiasm and athleticism I decided that not know the route and in these difficult conditions, the best action was to retreat.
GD was visibly disappointed but it was the right decision.
