Helvellyn from swirls car park. Descended swirral edge, first mountaineering type route for a friend, who was too nervous to walk over, so I confidence roped him down, just using a sling. He then went across striding un aided. Blue skies, just a breeze. Snow soft with ice in patches underneath, a breakable crust on the top of helvellyn, crampons useful but not essential for the experienced with good boots as the depth of snow made them skitter a bit.
