Description

Nantle Ridge from Rhdd Ddu, return via Quaries and Bwlch y Ddwy elor, interesting route. Better descending from ridge to NW although difficult naving through the quaries in darkness.
Had a bit of an epic in the woods, trapped in by walls, fences, random bedposts and density of woodland. Total SOH failure at one point. Actually thought we would spend the night in the woods. I wanted to back track and skirt round woods. Miles wanted to bash through. I think my way would have been quicker and I will never plan to go into those woods again, especially in darkness.
A bit greasy on the tops.

Area : Nantlle & Hebog

The Nantlle Ridge is the name given to a small range of mountains in Snowdonia, north Wales which runs south-west from the village of Rhyd Ddu for a distance of about 9 km (6 mi), ending above Talysarn and Nebo in the Nantlle Valley.
