Description

CMC Raven Crag meet, 27-29 April:
This was a part of a wider mountaineering day (see scrambles and walks).
Having completed Middlefell Buttress (Diff), Mike, Rob and I walked/scrambled to Pike o` Stickle via Loft Crag, completed the Western Buttress (3) scramble on Pike o` Stickle, then headed NW across Martcrag Moor to Langdale Combe, then back along Mickelden Beck to the ODG.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
