I was invited to attend a route setting weekend by Matt Peacey.
Having not done this before, an opportunity like this is really important, so on Friday night we removed the holds and cleaned the walls, and Saturday / Sunday was spent setting problems and group grading them.
This was thoroughly enjoyable and I learnt a lot from the team there.
I managed to set around 9 problems, mainly in the 5+ region by the teams standards.
I found setting some of the later routes hard as there wasn`t much room left on the walls for holds, and I was also being asked to set routes of a grade that I can`t climb, but with some imagination I seemed to do okay!
Really useful weekend which helped me immensely in progressing my climbing knowledge.
