A day out on Tryfan with Lizzie and Nanw.
The original plan involved one of Tryfan's classic VDiff routes. But a review of the weather forecast for the day saw rain expected until 11am, so we down-graded to a scramble of Little and North Gullies. However, the rain didn't leave at all, persisting all day (well until around 4pm in the end). By the time we arrived at Little Gully along the Heather Terrace, we were drenched, cold, and getting tired. So we scrapped the scramble, descended to the floor of Cwm Tryfan, then returned to the car via Gwern Gof Uchaf.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
