Description

Another evening on Tryfan with Nanw!
Approached from the next layby from Milestone. Headed up to the base of Y Gully with the intention of soloing it, but Nanw tried the first 10m then refused to continue. So we headed up the west gully to the summit, then came back down the north Ridge.
Just past the top of Bastow Buttress, I stepped down and it felt like something slapped the back of my right calf muscle. Turns out that I'd strained the muscle! So I hobbled down via Piccadilly Circus, back to the milestone layby, and back along the road.
1h 5 to the summit, 1h 40 down even with an injury!

Area : Glyderau

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
