Description

Unfortunately I had a terrible accident on Beinn Eighe, on 23rd September 2017. I simply stumbled and fell, but in the process my face smashed against a rock and I lost five teeth. As this happened at 1000m I had to be airlifted off the mountain.
I didn't want to develop a fear of the mountains, so after I was fully rested, I did a walk up Arthur's Seat, and then Calton Hill.
On the 11th October I felt ready to tackle a mountain again. I'd been to the dentist that morning, and I'd had a local anaesthetic, so I took my time and paced myself going up The Brack. It was partly a recce for a walk I wanted to do for my Meetup group. I found route-finding a bit confusing on the way down the other side, and wandered off course a bit, but managed to get back on track. It was a glorious autumn day, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Area : Loch Fyne to Loch Long (Beinn an Lochain)

South of the A83 as far as Dunoon and sandwiched in between Loch Fyne and Loch Long are a number of peaks, none of which qualify for Munro status. The southern half of the Arrochar Alps includes Beinn an Lochain, which at 901m was wrongly included in Sir Hugh Munro’s original list of 3000ft peaks in Scotland. The mountains list contains all peaks above 600m.
