Patterdale - St Sunday Crag - Fairfield - Grisedale Tarn - Dollywaggon Pike - Helvellyn - Striding Edge - Patterdale
Walking club meet (Leicestershire Mountaineering Association). Great day, good visibility although it rained a little later on. One member slipped and banged his head on the descent of striding edge. Administered first aid and came down safely - no lasting damage!

Area : Far Eastern Fells

Reaching their highest point at High Street(828 metres) they occupy a broad area to the east of Ullswater and Kirkstone Pass. Much quieter than the central areas of Lakeland they offer in general easier but less exciting walking as the fells merge mainly into the surrounding moorlands. Exceptions however are the fine rock scenery to be seen surrounding the head of Haweswater
