I decided to put some of the skills learned in my recent Winter Walking course to the test: making sure I follow terrain when walking, making informed decisions about the conditions, navigation skills, as well as a bit of testing snowpack with snow pits. A good fun walk with a bit of glissading, digging in, and compass usage; whiteout nav, snow goggles - a bit of everything.
