Description

Straightforward ascent of Corbett monamenach from Glenshee outdoor centre. Felt more early autumn than mid winter but strong wind and the odd blustery shower reminded us of the time of the year. Good going on stalkers paths and cropped heather on slopes. No sign of snow so easy to spot the odd Mountain hare. Did some timing and pacing to try out new Garmin GPS watch from santa. Climbed Black hill, Monamenach and Craigenlochan. Good vis all day and decent views into the Glenshee Munros as well as Glen Isla which still has to be explored.

Area : Pitlochry to Braemar & Blairgowrie (Beinn a'Ghlo)
