Logged under climbing too as is the nature of this route, but I also think it warrants a winter QMD given the size of the day. Truly up there as one of the best days I have ever had. We took 11 hours for it as it was just such a brilliant day it seemed a shame to rush. Crampons not needed until we reached hayfork gully, but were required from the coire floor. The getting up to the gully was steeper that the gully itself, with rock hard snow and icy patches here and there.
The traverse of the pinnacles was fun, with a good snow arete on them. We all opted to solo, eack of us with enough experience to feel comfortable and safe to do so.
Watched the sun set from sail liath before heading down the long walk out in the dark. We saw 5 other people all day. Stupendous!!
