An overcast day with excellent visibility. Snow from the Lower Falls carpark, although becoming more constant at 300m. A slippery ascent on Sròn Dearg turning to a jolly grade I climb to the East of Coire An Lochain where axes were utilised. On summiting Stob Ban the wind picked up with gust reaching an estimated 50mph. Backtracking shortly to reach the Westward ridge leading to Mullach nan Coirean there were sections of wind slab and Névé forming. On summiting the Munro gusting wind speed picked up making walking arduous and unpleasant to an estimated 70mph swinging from all directions. A rapid decent was made to calmer areas. Interestingly the wind temperature was noticeably warmer once we had dropped to 630m along the ridge-line.
