This walk took longer then expected for 2 reasons (took 8 hours). First I took pen-y-pass path then on to Crib Goch. However as I continued to Garnedd Ugain I took a wrong, unmarked path on my map which contoured the south apex of the mountain. I then had to cut up and ended up just East of the peak on the ridge and continued from there.
Second On Snowdon peak I came across a lady I was sharing a dorm with at the hostel. She was wearing inappropriate shoes, had no map and was asking how to descend via the miners path. I decided to descend with her rather then continue on the horseshoe to Y Lliwedd. She was very slow, tired and unconfident on her feet.
