Rock Climbing Instructor
I have been Heather's line manager now for 3 year's here at YHA Edale. In the time I have known her I have seen her develop into a confident instructor. Heather holds a range of NGB awards including a Summer ML and Caving and Paddle sport qualifications and therefore has a good all-round skill set for working with groups. Heather has a empathetic approach to working with groups and always puts the needs of the group first. She has been delivering Abseil sessions at Millersdale viaduct, having been given a statement of competence by myself to work at this venue for the last 2 seasons and regularly works as an assistant instructor, both at single pitch crags and on the centre's climbing tower. She regularly gets the opportunity to rig climbs whilst working alongside a qualified colleague. If successful, I have no doubt that Heather will deliver safe and enjoyable climbing sessions, for the groups she works with. Neil McDonald (MIA) Activity Manager
