Day 2, 3.30 am set of fro the refuge with the hopes of completing both the Barre and the Dome.
In actual fact we did the Dome, and as was our friends first 4000m peak decided that was sufficient for the day and not to add any further time on. Good decision, the snow was already very slushy descending the lower slopes, with winds picking up and a great day was had by the four of us. roped from the refuge until back below the glacier.
