Winter walk on the Helvellyn range.
Glenriding start point up, Striding edge, Helvellyn, Swiral Edge, Catstye Cam, Swirall, Lower Man, White Side, Raise, Sheffield Pike.
Winter Conditions above 700m Ice axe and crampons required for latter part of Striding edge and steep bank to Helvellyn. Also needed for Helvellyn Summit and Swirral edge decent and renascent. Plenty of winter skills needed and practiced on both ridges.
