Description

Lovely little adventure with friend Jon, Circular route taking in Cnicht and a wild camp at the shore of Llyn Yr Adar.
clear and sunny but very chilly, temps around +3 in the day, and -3 in the night.
Last chance for expedition practise and gear check prior to ML assessment.
Route down from the Llyn was off piste - we dropped won the first gully instead of following the footpath, and had to complete some scramble down-climbing, with careful route selection and water hazards to cross.

Area : Moelwynion

The Moelwynion (a Welsh plural, sometimes anglicised to Moelwyns) are a group of mountains in central Snowdonia. They extend from the north-east of Porthmadog to Moel Siabod, the highest of the group. The name derives from the names of the two largest mountains in the group, Moelwyn Mawr (great white hill) and Moelwyn Bach (little white hill).
