Description

Part 2 of my Journey (2 of 2).

From Cockley Beck Bridge I ascended Little Stand - there is no path up to this summit so the best line of ascent was needed. Some steep ground was encountered and I my timing for this ascent was reasonably accurate.

Next was Crinkle Crags, going over the summits with a short scramble at the end. I descended the well trodden pathway passed the summit of Great Knott to GR 267 039. From this grid reference I ascended Pike of Blisco on the descent there were a couple of great scramble sections. I then worked my way back down the valley and setup camp in a local campsite.

What an awesome weekend -

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
