Description

Fisherfield 5 - walked in 5.5hours from dundonald, camped at bealach at sgur ban, nice day! one river crossing - easy.
Tuesday - heavy rain and cloud base 600m, light rain all day, 2 river crossings, high. 5 munros in a clockwise and back to base 14.5 hours.
Gav tripped and hurt leg.
Wed - cloud had cleared a bit but still at 800m. rivers now high and 1 river to cross - soaked!
Me Gav and Joy. broken people but enjoyed it.

Area : Loch Maree to Loch Broom and The Fannaichs

This area contains four main sub-regions: An Teallach, The Fannaichs, Kinlochewe & Letterewe. The highest Munro is Sgurr Mor, part of The Fannaichs range, at a height of 1110m. The impressive Slioch (981m), although not the tallest, is described by the SMC Munros Guide as being ‘one of the great sights of the Northern Highlands’ and well worth a visit. This area sits to the north of the A832 and is almost completely devoid of human habitation.
