Cwmorthin & Rhosydd. Underfoot: icy, thin layer of snow higher up, as much as 20cm. Crampons not necessary.

Walk was from the Cwmorthin car park, up Cwmorthin (river crossing necessary due to bridge being damaged). Explored Rhosydd Mine via Adit 9 with Clwyd Mountaineering Club (this bit was under Richard's remit, not mine).
After the mine, we headed north and followed the north edge of Cwmorthin up to Allt Fawr, then dropped down to Cwmorthin Quarry.
