Spent the previous night in my tent in a campsite at Inverdruie.
From Glenmore Lodge followed a good path north east past An Locahn Uaine into the pass of Ryvoan. Continued east and then south east crossing the river Nethy (by a bridge) and enjoyed a fantastic view down Strath Nethy. followed the path onto a plateau then headed due south to reach the north ridge of Bynack More. Followed a good path to the summit and continued South east to see the Barns of Bynack. From there we did the rout in reverse back to Glenmore lodge.
Area :
The Cairngorms
The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
