Walk led for the Gloucestershire Ramblers, from Rodborough, via Houndscroft woods, Box and Minchinhampton and return: 9 miles in all. 13 walkers, including two in trainers who needed some extra attention. Lunch spot was chosen for the view but was exposed and the group quickly cooled down: lesson learnt to check plans dependent on conditions and prioritise shelter over views for lunch when appropriate. Spare gloves were used by two members of the group: a third pair would have been a useful precaution. Walk was, however, enjoyable.
