Led walk for the Ramblers, originally planned for 8 Feb but postponed due to planned torrential rain. Second walk in a series exploring the 'Golden Valley' which contains the Frome river above Stroud. Good turnout of 18 which I led on a pre-scouted route from Stroud Brewery up to 'the heavens', around the top of Toadsmoor valley, Blackness and return via the canal. Lunch in the sunshine on conveniently sliced logs in Helen's Wood. Candy helpfully brought up the rear. Successful and enjoyable walk. Finished with drinks at the brewery.
