Description

5 Day winter skills based around Onich:
Day 1 - Buachaille Etive Beag crampons, ice axe arrest, movement on variety of terrain
Day 2 - Stob Ban, steep ground, some snow anchors
Day 3 - Lost Valley, Snow Anchors
Day 4 - Avalanche Hazard talk, Nav around Kinlochleven
Day 5 - Number 4 Gully, Ben Nevis (putting it all into practice)

Area : Glencoe North (Loch Leven To Rannoch Station)

This area covers the northern side of Glen Coe and the mountains north of Rannoch Moor. Notable features include the Pap of Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach ridge (home to a few kilometres of horizontal scrambling) and the remote peak of Stob na Cruiache which is generally accessed from the train station to the east. Includes all major peaks above 600m.
